DEET Tribal College Alumni Scholarship

This Scholarship is available to LLTC and Tribal College Alumni that are interested in Food Sovereignty, Land and Water Conservation, or Community Health in a 4-year degree manner.

This DEET Alumni Scholarship is based on competitively awarded stipends and can provide up to $500 per month. An eligible baccalaureate student can apply for up to $10,000 of support through their bachelor’s program. To apply you must be enrolled full time in a 4-year related degree program and you also must demonstrated capacity to represent LLTC.

To be Eligible for the DEET Alumni Scholarship you must be in good academic standing with your program with at least a 2.0 GPA or higher, and you can’t currently a full-time LLTC employee to be eligible for this scholarship.

New DEET Students must provide 2 non-family, community leader or academic (teachers, mentors) letters of recommendation.

Include an essay (2 pages) that describes:

  1. Personal introduction (who you are and what you are passionate about)
  2. Reason you are interested in the DEET program (regarding food, conversation, and/or community)
  3. Professional goals after you earn your degree

Include a copy of your unofficial transcript
