Biography

Aaniin!

My husband is Edwin “Ed” Stresow. We are pet parents to our dog Chloe. At Leech Lake Tribal College, I have the privilege of serving as the President. I am a professor of business management and hope to teach courses on campus in the future. I am a higher education executive, educator, and organizational strategist with two decades of leadership experience across Tribal government, higher education, nonprofits, and corporate organizations. I have experience as a business faculty member, teaching undergraduate and graduate students while mentoring the next generation of leaders. I am committed to advancing student success through culturally responsive, data-informed leadership that strengthens institutions and communities. I have led transformational initiatives in strategic planning, organizational change, accreditation, and student success while building partnerships with Tribal Nations, educational institutions, and community organizations. As a servant leader, I am dedicated to honoring Indigenous cultures, supporting educational opportunity, and ensuring Tribal Colleges remain centers of language, culture, community wellbeing, and lifelong learning.

I am honored to be here. I have served as a faculty and staff member at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) throughout my career and I’m excited continue this critical work at a Tribal College & University (TCU) here at Leech Lake Tribal College. I enjoy with my family, drinking coffee, traveling, and being outside.

I am grateful to be here and to be part of our students’ educational journeys, as well as our faculty and staff’s professional journeys.

Miigwech.
