The past few years have brought many exciting changes to Leech Lake Tribal College. In 2005, our location changed when we moved into the first building of our new campus. September of 2006 brought another important change, as the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools approved Leech Lake Tribal College for full accreditation, the biggest leap forward a college can make! Accreditation means that our faculty, curriculum, and a host of other LLTC features meet the same criteria used to judge other colleges and universities, such as Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota.

This year has seen even more positive changes, including increased student enrollment, the largest graduating class in LLTC history, the continued growth of our campus, and several new and exciting partnerships. We look forward to accomplishing even more  throughout the 2010-11 academic year!

While much has changed since Leech Lake Tribal College's inception in 1990, one thing has never wavered: our mission to provide a top-quality education that is affordable to students from any background, at any point in their lives. Our commitment to that goal has resulted in exciting growth, positively impacting the lives of hundreds of students, their families, and the communities we serve.

Such rapid growth is both exhilarating and challenging at the same time, as it places an increasing strain on college resources to continually increase our high quality of education while also maintaining affordability. That is why the support of friends like you is such an important part of our success!
