Research & Experience :
Started working for the Leech Lake Reservation when I was in Cass Lake High School as a youth worker. I was hired as a secretary after high school, moving on to payroll clerk and accounting clerk before moving over to the gaming division as an accounting clerk. As the gaming division expanded I became an accounting manager. In 1998 I returned to BSU and completed my degree in 2001. I came back to gaming as an accounting manager, applied for the General Manager position at the Palace when that position opened up and was the General Manager there for 3 years. Following that position I took a Finance Director position with Upper Mississippi Mental Health for 18 months when I took a Purchasing Director Position at Leech Lake Gaming where I worked as the Purchasing Director for 18 months. During that time I completed the Internal Controls for the Purchasing Department. At 18 months as purchasing director, I was asked to Interim the Assistant Controller position, which I accepted and mentored into the Controller position with Daniel G. Erickson mentoring me into the Controller position. From there I stepped down to become the Restaurant Manager at the Northern Lights Casino; as a side note, I had applied for the LLTC Finance Director position about the same time. I was called in for a couple of interviews at the LLTC and was hired here in January 2018.
