As an institution that seeks to honor and embrace their culture, Leech Lake Tribal College (LLTC) works diligently to model Anishinaabe values. In August 2014, LLTC officially became commercial tobacco-free, prohibiting use of all commercial tobacco products on campus other than for ceremonial use.
Leech Lake Tribal College is first Tribal College in the Nation to be a partner with The Partnership for a Healthier America's Healthy Campus Eating Initiative.

This Summer, Leech Lake Tribal College Staff and Faculty were challenged to take part in a Couch to 5k program hosted by the Wellness Center and Community Education at LLTC.
The 18th annual Anishinaabe Sobriety Run passed thru the Cass Lake area today.
The Benny Tonce drum room at Leech Lake Tribal College resonated with multi-cultural energy Wednesday evening. Separated by 200 miles and a three hour drive, metro residents unified with members of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe over an element essential to all their lives -- food.
Snacks provided. $20 for participation and $20 for a 6 month follow-up survey! Door prizes will be given away during the screening and each person will be registered for a chance to win a iPad Mini!!!
