Introduction

Former students who have earned a degree at Leech Lake Tribal College or any other accredited college may return for a second degree.

Leech Lake Tribal College offers the following Associate Degrees and Diplomas:

• Associate of Arts
  • Indigenous Leadership
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Liberal Education
  • Liberal Education- STEM Emphasis
• Associate of Science
  • Natural Science
• Associate of Applied Science
  • Business Management
  • Law Enforcement
• Diploma
  • Construction Electricity
  • Residential Carpentry

Enrollment Procedure

1. Complete and sign applications
   1. 2nd Degree Admission Application
   2. Permission to Release Form
   3. Tribal Enrollment/Verification Form
      1. Tribal enrollment card or certification letter acceptable
   1. High School/GED Request Form – if you are new applicant to Leech Lake Tribal College; otherwise, all former students will have this on file
   2. University/College Official Transcript Release Form
      1. Transcript fee must accompany form if you would like us to mail it
   3. Financial Aid applications
      1. Federal Application for Free Student Aid, Tribal Higher Education, MN Indian Scholarship
2. Submit applications
   1. Admission applications to the Admissions Clerk
   2. Financial Aid applications to Financial Aid Clerk
      1. Income taxes will be requested
3. Visit with an Academic Advisor
   1. Take the writing and math placement test (COMPASS)
      1. All new students are required to take this test upon admissions
      2. Please allow one (1) hour for the test
   1. Register for the upcoming semester
   2. Complete education plan
