Introduction

Welcome Back! We are glad you decided to continue your education and have chosen to return to Leech Lake Tribal College! We hope to make your reapplication as easy as possible.

Former students are any students who have previously attended Leech Lake Tribal College who wish to continue completion of their diploma or degree requirements.  If you did complete a degree, please visit our Second Degree page.

Academic Standing

Former students returning from previous semesters may have been placed on Academic Probation or Academic Suspension.  These students are encouraged to visit an academic advisor throughout the semester on their academic progress or tutoring services needed.

If you know you have been placed on Academic Probation, you may re-apply and register as a fulltime student; you will remain on Academic Probation and be required to meet your scheduled Grade Point Average.

If you know you have been placed on Academic Suspension, you have to petition for readmission and financial aid eligibility; you will be required to meet your scheduled Grade Point Average and register for a maximum of six credits or half-time status.

Whether returning from Probation or Suspension; after successfully completing the semester, you academic status will return to regular student.

Enrollment Procedure

1. Visit, call or email the Registrar to check your academic status
2. Complete and sign Admissions Application Feb 2011
3. Submit applications
   1. Admission applications to the Admissions Clerk
   2. Financial Aid applications to Financial Aid Clerk
      1. Income taxes will be requested
4. Visit with an Academic Advisor
   1. Take the writing and math placement test (COMPASS)
      1. All new students are required to take this test upon admissions
      2. Please allow one (1) hour for the test
   1. Register for the upcoming semester
   2. Complete education plan
