1. What types of housing is available to students?
Although LLTC does not yet have campus housing, off-campus housing is available throughout the surrounding community. Speak with your Academic Advisor who can help you find housing that meets your needs.
2. Does LLTC provide Job Placement Services?
Job postings and listings are available in the new Learning Center. Instructors have industry connections and help place students into internship programs during the summer and academic year that provide valuable work experience and can lead directly to jobs.
3. How does your transfer process work?
LLTC has Articulation agreements with the following colleges: Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, and the University of North Dakota-Grand Forks. Students are encouraged to speak with their Academic Advisors regarding transfer credits to or from other institutions.
LLTC offers the Minnesota Post-Secondary Enrollment Option to junior or senior high school students at no cost to you as a student. Start by talking with a high school guidance counselor or Indian Education Member. Counselors or Advisors will be able to help determine if you are ready for PSEO.
4. Do you have to be a Leech Lake band member to attend the Tribal College?
LLTC is an open public institution of higher education. You do not necessarily have to be a Leech Lake Band member or enrolled in a Federally Recognized Tribe to be admitted into LLTC.
5. Do you offer a nursing program?
Although we do not currently offer a nursing program, students interested in the medical field are encouraged to pursue an Associate of Arts in Liberal Education with a STEM Emphasis. The STEM program prepares students for transfer into a 4-Year university or college.
