L to R - Bill Blackwell Jr – Director of Advancement, Jason Bernick, Dr. Don Day – President of LLTC
The Bernick Family Foundation has a proud tradition of supporting the communities in which they serve by supporting organizations that reflect the family’s core values. Recently Jason Bernick visited the Leech Lake Tribal College campus to present his family’s generous gift of $10,000 for the LLTC Library Campaign. The Bernick Family Foundation strives to assist communities. “It is an honor for the Bernick Family to contribute and support the communities that our business serves.” said Jason Bernick. The Library, which will be finished late Fall, will be over 8,000 square feet and will house The Learning Center, a 15-seat smart classroom, and an archive space to house documents and artifacts important to the history of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and the greater Leech Lake area. “This project will allow us to serve students in a more efficient way with The Learning Center and Library being in the same building. Currently they are in two different buildings. Gifts like this one from the Bernick Family are what made this project possible. We appreciate their support and faith in our vision for the campus.” said Director of Advancement Bill Blackwell Jr. The Library and facilities can utilized, free of charge to the community. Jason Bernick expanded on the Family’s commitment “The Bernick Foundation feels very strongly about investing in youth and education, it’s an investment for the future.” On behalf of all of us at Leech Lake Tribal College, Mii gwetch (Thank you) to the Bernick Family!!
